About this hike

Prepare yourself for some awe-inspiring views

Okay, so hiking the Glyders isn't the easiest day, but my gosh is it worth it. Even if just for the photo opportunities at the peak. We'll park up new Ogwen Cottage and begin making our way around the east side of Llyn Idwal. Then begins the steep climb up Devil's Kitchen which will certainly take your breath away; keep hiking up the scree and soon enough we'll be at the summit over 1000m high. From here its down to the Castle of the Winds rock formation and then onto the stunning collection of boulders that makes up the Glyder Fach summit.

Just beyond that is the iconic Cantilever stone; probably the most popular photo opportunity on this route. Finally, from here we could take the Miners Track back to Ogwen but we're so close to Tryfan where the Adam and Eve twin monoliths are; that we can't resist going to see them. We do then eventually circle back round to Ogwen and complete what is surely one of the most stunning hikes you'll ever experience.
